Update 2/7:

Sunday lessons and privates will be at Summit West.  We will meet just east of the Littlethunder Chairlift base.

Update February 5, 2026 for 2/7 Saturday weekend lessons

We are indeed looking closely at the weather forecasts.  We normally run for typical winter northwest mountain conditions, which yes, includes running lessons even for mist or light rain conditions (as anticipated to be at the time of our lessons).   However, we will cancel for heavy rain.  We are monitoring the forecasts closely, but as forecasts shift and change in the mountains, we need to wait a bit closer to lesson start time, before we can make a definitive determination.   So as of present, we are running, but as stated, this may change.   We wish we could script this season differently and appreciate everyone’s patience dealing with this season’s weather uncertainties.

It is usual for weather-related decisions like this one, to have the final call be made by 6am in the morning of lessons.  Tentatively, lessons will be at Summit West at the same meeting location as last week.  Just east of the Littlethunder Chairlift base.   Please call the skibacs phone line after 6am for the most up to date information 206-400-7542

Update January 30, 2026

There has been some new snow up at the pass but not enough for Central to run most lifts.  We have received approval to run our weekend group classes at Summit West- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday lessons. This means we will hold lessons at our normally scheduled times, but our meeting location will be at West.

We will meet just east of the Little Thunder Chairlift base.  Please see the maps at the end of this update to help you locate us.  We hope to have a few Skibacs signs up but mostly look for our Blue parkas.

All the parking lots at West were already full by 8:30am last weekend.  We strongly recommend parking at Summit Central and riding the shuttle over.  They will be running three shuttles.  Either way, please give yourself plenty of extra time to navigate these changes.
Please check the SKIBACS phone line on Saturday morning (206) 400-7542
Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate this unusual season.

Reminder: we will be holding a makeup session for GROUP multi-week lessons the weekend of February 21/22.
