Before you head to Crystal Lodge….

With the single lane to Crystal Mountain, parking reservations are required for all days at least through January. To get parking reservations for your stay please register more than 48 hours of your stay. SKIBACS will register your license plate with your lodge reservation at these intervals – Friday, Sunday and Tuesday at noon. We are currently not accepting drop ins due to this situation.

If you want to stay at the lodge and have your license registered for parking, please put in your reservations before these deadlines.
For example: If you want to stay for Saturday night – you must have your reservation in before Friday at noon or you will be responsible for your own parking reservations.

FROM THE Washington Sate Department of Transportation:

Dear businesses, local representatives, and residents of Greenwater, Enumclaw and surrounding areas,

Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 10, maintenance crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation closed State Route 410, between Enumclaw and Greenwater (mileposts 25-43) due to water over the roadway. The eastbound lane of SR 410 was severely eroded by floodwaters from Boise Creek at milepost 26.6 during historic rainfall and flooding. WSDOT maintenance crews have built up the westbound shoulder with gravel at Boise Creek and reopened the roadway as of Dec. 16. to single-lane traffic with a temporary signal so local traffic can navigate around the damaged area.

We are completing the process to secure an emergency contract and contractor to begin roadway repairs, and this work may begin as early as Monday, Dec. 22. Crews are anticipated to be working 24/7 once work begins, though some work delays may be possible due to the availability of crews and materials. The emergency contract must be completed within 30 days.

In the meantime, we have coordinated with Crystal Mountain, which will open in a limited capacity this weekend. We expect increased traffic on SR 410, which may add to delays already in place with the alternating traffic configuration at milepost 26.6. Our crews are working to adjust signal timing to optimize morning uphill and afternoon downhill ski traffic accordingly.

Our crews are prepared to respond this weekend as needed, and we will have maintenance equipment on standby as well as snowplows plowing when needed for snow response.

People in the area should expect delays and possible full closures of the roadway once construction starts to repair the roadway. Details about when these closure will happen are not available until we secure a contractor and finalize the rebuilding plan.

We recognize this closure affects residents, businesses and day-to-day activities. Once construction starts, crews will work around-the-clock to get the road rebuilt. We will keep you informed as we move through this emergency construction

Please reach out to me or Elizabeth Mountmailto:Elizabeth.mount@wsdsot.wa.gov, 206-482-2276 if you have any questions or concerns. If we have missed any residents or businesses, please forward this information as necessary.
