SKIBACS is proud to offer this local event at our home mountain, Crystal Mountain Resort! Come stay within walking distance to Washington state’s largest ski resort, at a discount to our already unbeaten rates! The event will start on the evening of Fri. Dec. 15th and conclude as the lifts close on Sun. Dec. 17th.
Location: The SKIBACS Lodge is located within walking distance of the Crystal Mountain Ski Area in the Snoqualmie National Forest, adjacent to the Mount Rainier National Park. It was started in 1966 by club members with the support of the Boeing Employees Recreation Department to provide a year-round over-night facility at a cost lower than available at public facilities. You will receive exact directions to the lodge upon signing up for the event.

Room Configuration: Option 1: Group of 3 or 4 – Your own private room (until they are gone)
Option 2: Group of 2 – Share a 4-person room with either another group of 2 or a couple singles.
Option 3: Single occupancy will be hostel style with a bunk in an available room. If you would like assistance being paired up with a roommate please reach out to the trip leader.
**Be Aware** All rooms utilize bunk style beds. Each participant is guaranteed their own bed. The mattresses only have a cover and require bedding. Each participant is required to bring their own sleeping bag/linens/or bedding of choice. Also remember to bring your own towels, toiletries, and any other creature comforts you prefer! This is a private ski lodge rather than a hotel, so please keep that in mind. Members and guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and it is much appreciated if you can help with a chore or two while staying. We have no dedicated cleaning staff so it’s up to each of us to upkeep the lodge! Any questions or concerns reach out to the trip leader. The lodge manager can help as well.
Bathrooms/Showers: The main floor has a men’s & women’s restroom. Mid-level has men’s & women’s full bathrooms with showers.
Lodging Pricing: $45 per person, per night. $90 gets you the entire weekend. Discount of $10 per night!
Holiday Pot Luck: We will be holding a holiday potluck on Saturday night once everyone is good and hungry from a full day of skiing/riding! Anyone who contributes will be welcome to join in! Trip leader will coordinate club baseline main dish & contributions with participants to fill out the dinner appropriately.
Parking: If you opt to stay at the lodge, parking is included & free in Lot C or Lot D. Detailed parking instructions will be shared after signing up for staying at the lodge. Parking prices outside of this event are upwards of $30 through Crystal.
Timeline: Rooms will be available for check in after Fri. Dec. 15th @ 4 PM. Checkout will be Sunday as you leave to ski for the day or at the very latest 12 PM. Directions on check-in and room assignment will be shared by the trip leader after signup.
Lift Ticket Discounts: Crystal is offering us a 3-day lift ticket package for $199, however it is only for midweek skiing. Currently no discount is available for weekend skiing.
Participation: All SKIBACS current members are welcome. If you are not a current SKIBACS member you can still partake in this event! We have multiple levels of membership available starting with a 30-day temporary membership ($5) all the way up to full family annual membership ($41) and multiple options in-between! If you end up deciding on going for a full SKIBACS membership at a later date, the $5 temporary will be credited towards that membership of your choice. Membership options are available HERE if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Guests of members are also welcome! If you are bringing a guest please declare them on your signup form with their name and contact information in the “Guests” field. We ask that each member limit their guest maximum to two guests per member. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to the trip leader.
NOTES: 1. As a member of SKIBACs this is our lodge and our responsibility. It is the responsibility and requirement for each of us to clean up the lodge and clean up after ourselves. There is no maid service cleaning the lodge. This includes but is not limited to use of the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and all common areas. Please do your part, and also check in with the lodge caretaker Corey, to see if there are other tasks that you may assist with.
